Strike at Port of Felixstowe continues to disrupt supply chains

18 vessels affected as strike enters fifth day

Now in its fifth day, a strike at the critical Port of Felixstowe, in the UK, continues to delay vessels and wreak havoc with supply chains.

So far, 18 vessels have been delayed by the strike, according to data from IQAX Big Schedules. This is the first time in 30 years that dock workers at Felixstowe have gone on strike. The impact of the strike at the key container port will be felt in the UK and across Europe. CNBC reported that it could take around two months to clear the backlog that the strike is creating at a port that handles 48% of all container trade in the UK.

As of 24 August, the following vessels are likely to be affected by the strike:
