Bills of lading serve an important liquidity function in shipping

Bills of lading serve an important liquidity function in shipping. As global commerce grows, bills of lading are increasingly used for financial purposes like payment and financing. However, discrepancies can inadvertently creep into bills of lading during transit. Once shippers present documents containing discrepancies to customers, they require multiple amendments. In these situations, shippers have to resend the paper documents with corrections.

IQAX eBL system transitions the entire bills of lading and trade document circulation from offline to online. If any discrepancies arise during the bank’s review process, users can request amendments online instead of having to re-deliver physical paper copies, avoiding the time costs of physical mail. This has significantly increased the efficiency of bank reviews and the transfer of bills of lading.

To date, IQAX eBL has partnered with leading carriers such as COSCO,OOCL, and Hapag-Lloyd. At the same time, it has established long-term collaborations with nine renowned banks including Bank of China, Bank of Communications, and China Merchants Bank. This ensures comprehensive coverage across all aspects of shipping finance, providing robust support and security for bills of lading throughout their lifecycle. In the past three months, IQAX eBL has consecutively won the APTFF Trade Facilitation Innovation Awards 2024, Annual Supply Chain Paperless Technology Innovation Award, and the 2024 National Corporate Best Practice for New Quality Productivity. The industry's recognition of IQAX eBL continues to increase.
